Certificate in Tribunal Administrative Justice™ (CTAJ™)

Advanced Certificate in Tribunal Administrative Justice™ (ACTAJ™)

The Foundation’s certificate programs are built around our core competencies for administrative justice roles. They help learners build the skills, knowledge, and values needed to do their work well, including fairness, ethical service, clear communication, inclusive processes, sound judgment, and timely work.

Certificate in Tribunal Administrative Justice™ (CTAJ™)

The certificate helps tribunals and their staff to understand what they need to know to carry out their roles in administrative justice and learn the skills to do so successfully.

The core competencies of the CTAJ™ program define the skills and capabilities that give you and/or your employees an advantage.  These advantages give you confidence in your role and a unique set of tools that may enable you and your organization to reduce costs by creating efficiencies.

Program Requirements
  • complete the core, required, and elective courses for a total of 77 credits

  • write the exam and obtain 65% or better for each course

  • 100% course attendance is mandatory

Streams

The CTAJ™ streams recognize that administrative justice is a team effort. While all participants need a common understanding of fairness, legislation, evidence, and decision-making, each role requires specialized skills. The streams allow tribunal members, administrators, advocates, and investigators to develop the competencies most relevant to their responsibilities while sharing a common foundation in administrative justice.
